We start from nothing and build the Dutch you'll actually use this week — at the bakker, with your neighbours, on the stoep. Your own reader, your own app, and a teacher who knows your name by week two.

Why we're building this
We believe that learning a language and feeling at home in a place feed each other. When you learn the language, you feel more at home. When you feel at home, the language comes more easily.
We're building Communitaal so both belonging and speaking can happen together — learn Dutch in the context of your Haarlem community.
